Welcome to second grade! My name is Andrea Osbron. This is my eighth year in public education; fourth year teaching second grade, and third year here at Crofton!  I am thrilled to be teaching reading and language arts-- two subjects that I love tremendously!  It is my goal to help your child learn and love these subjects, too. 

In my classroom, we work in whole groups and in workshops.  Differentiated instruction will be provided to all students in guided reading groups.  I will work with your children to help them succeed right where they are! 

Second grade is a transitional year.  We are transitioning from learning to read, to reading to learn.  This year, we are focusing on fluency and comprehension.  Students are learning how to read, and understand what they read, on their own!
