I am a 2nd grade teacher of science, social studies and writing.  I have taught these subjects for the past two years.  Prior to this, I taught math for many years -- mostly in the 2nd grade.  I began teaching at Lacy Elementary in 1995.  So, having taught almost non-stop since then, I am in my 20th year of teaching.  I have learned a lot from my students over the years.  They may have even taught me more than I have taught them. 

I grew up in Crittenden and Livingston Counties in Kentucky.  I played basketball at Livingston Central High School and even a little during college.  After marrying my husband, Mike, I moved here, to Christian County.  We have been married for 30 years -- a pretty huge milestone!  We have 3 children, Lauren, Callie, and JonMichael.  Lauren and Callie have both graduated from high school.  JonMichael is a junior in high school. 

Some of my favorite things to do include spending time with my children and family, watching sports live and on television, and just being outdoors.
